Spirit of Gratitude Soaps

I started making glycerine soaps when I decided to start growing organic vegetables due to the fact that I wanted to make use of the bath water on the garden. So, vegetable based glycerine was my first choice.

The above soaps were all early attempts and very plain although they were very nice to use.

I must confess that not all of the ingredients I use are organic. I like to use savlon in a couple of recipes as well as something I have discovered which I find helps me with sore joints.

The Magical Soap lather
I used to have sore knees and shoulders but since using this ingredient and massaging it into my joints every night in the bath, I now have little or no pain.

HOW TO USE THE MAGICAL SOAP
As you can see from the photo, you need to get a thick lather over whatever is "painful" and leave it there for as long as possible before rinsing off.

However, nearly ALL of my recipes contain coconut oil. This is a wonderful skin softener and also gives a lovely lather to the soap. (glycerine will not lather well on its own).

Soap I make now

In the newer pics I have used orange peel as an ingredient
In the above photos I have used orange peel as an exfoliant. It works rather well, settling to the bottom of the soap. So, on the top of the soap you have smooth glycerine while at the bottom you have a lovely "pummis" like effect.
I generally make soap for home but will be tempted to part with a bar or two. Prices are by request though because there are too many different shapes, sizes and recipes to choose from. In the future I might add my catalogue here.
The soaps below I made on Wednesday 18th May. I let them harden a little before trying them out.
The recipes are almost the same except for the C and B.

Comfrey on the left and Bulbinella on the right

I have not as yet tried these soaps but am pretty sure they will be nice. I just need to put the Comfrey juice through a filter the way I did the Bulbinella. You can see little chunky bits in the Comfrey which are missing in the Bulbinella.
